How it connects

How Genie connects to Link

Link is Stripe’s wallet. Genie connects to it by sending you to Link’s own sign-in page; you approve the connection there, and Link hands Genie a sealed credential. When your assistant buys something, Genie asks Link for a single-use card for that one purchase, so a merchant never sees your real card.

There is no token to create or copy. You never type a Link password or a card number into Genie.

Before you start

What to have ready

  • A Genie account. Create one if you have not.
  • A Link account with a payment method. If you do not have one, Link creates it during sign-in from your email and a verification code.

Step by step

Connect Link to Genie

  1. Sign in to Genie and open Account → Connections Vault. Link has its own row; choose Connect.

Step 1: The Connections Vault with the Link row and its Connect button
  2. A Link window opens at login.link.com. Enter the email on your Link account and the code Link sends you.

    Step 2: Link’s sign-in page
  3. Link shows what Genie is asking for. Review it and approve.

    Step 3: Link’s approval screen
  4. Return to Genie. The Link row changes to Connected on its own. If it still says “Finish connecting Link in the window that opened”, choose Open Link sign-in to bring the window back.

Step 4: The Link row showing Connected
  5. Open the row to see Link’s ceilings: per transaction, per day and per rolling 30 days.

Step 5: The Link panel with its allowance table

Once connected

What happens next

Link’s allowance and your Genie policy are separate limits; a card payment needs room under both. Link uses a rolling 30-day window and Genie’s monthly limit follows the calendar month, so the remaining amounts can differ.

Link may ask you to verify details on its own page (identity or SSN verification). Genie shows Link’s status in the row; if Link asks you to contact its support, waiting in Genie will not clear it.

To disconnect: Open the Link row, choose Disconnect and confirm. Genie removes its sealed credential; Link keeps your wallet.
