What is Genie?
Genie is your finance assistant, a bookkeeper for you or your business. It pays bills, moves money, buys what you asked for and keeps a plain-language record of every transaction. Use it on its own, or connect it to an AI assistant you already use. Genie is built and owned by Payman.
Does Genie hold my money?
No. Your money stays with your bank, card issuer or Coinbase. Genie holds a reference to the account and the limits you set, nothing more.
Can my assistant spend whatever it wants?
No. You set limits per payment, per day and per month, and choose which payees are allowed. Genie refuses anything outside them, and the refusal is recorded too.
What does my assistant actually see?
Confirmations and references, like “Paid $1,240.00 to Maria Ortiz Carpentry, ref GN-20A7”. Never your password, card number or bank login.
Does Genie do crypto?
Yes. Connect your Coinbase account and Genie can send USDC to wallets you approved, under the same per-payment, daily and monthly limits. It also settles x402 machine payments, the tiny per-request charges some APIs and services ask agents to pay, so your assistant can use them without you approving every cent.
Do I need another AI assistant to use Genie?
No. Genie works on its own. If you already use Claude, Grok Bot, ChatGPT or an agent you built, you can connect Genie to it as well: ask it to connect Genie and it will hand you a link that brings you here.
How private is Genie?
Very. Your logins stay with your bank, card issuer or Coinbase; Genie keeps references, not credentials. Card and account numbers never appear on a Genie screen or in an export. An assistant you connect receives confirmations only.
How do I stop it?
Sign in to your Genie account and disconnect the assistant. Its access ends immediately.
