How it connects

How Genie connects to Instinct

Instinct reads Genie’s agent instructions at the HTTP assistant guide, checks the advertised endpoints, and starts callback-free pairing. It sends the sign-in link and matching request details in your existing conversation; no local callback or pasted token is needed.

From then on, anything you text or say to Instinct about money goes through Genie, within the rules you set in your Genie account.

  • Instinct on your phone, and the number or thread you already text it on.

Step by step

Set up Genie in Instinct

  1. Text Instinct: “Read https://genie.paymanai.com/developers/http-agent.md and connect yourself to my Genie account. Follow its callback-free pairing and identity-corroboration instructions exactly.”

    Step 1: The message to Instinct, as sent

  2. Instinct introduces itself and replies with a Genie sign-in link, installation ID, matching code, OAuth scopes, and expiry. Check those details in the same trusted conversation.

    Step 2: Instinct’s reply with the sign-in link

  3. Open the link. Sign in to Genie, or create and verify your account.

  4. In Agents → Requests, Genie shows the agent name, installation ID, matching code, OAuth scopes, and expiry. Compare these with Instinct’s message, choose connection access, and select Approve. Select Decline if you did not request this connection. Instinct completes approved pairings automatically.

  5. Text Instinct in plain words: “How much is in checking?” or “Pay the $84 invoice from Acme.”

Once connected

What happens next

Instinct asks Genie; Genie decides. What Instinct may spend is set in your Genie account under Policies, not in Instinct.

When a payment needs your approval, Genie asks you in your Genie account, never in the Instinct thread.

To disconnect: Text Instinct “Remove the Genie connector”, or choose Disconnect on Instinct under Account → Agents in Genie.
