What is Genie?
Genie is an AI agent that handles money on your behalf. It connects to your banks through Plaid, to cards through your Link wallet and to Coinbase for crypto, and it settles x402 machine payments, all under rules you set. Genie is built and owned by Payman.
Does Genie hold my money?
No. Your money stays at your bank, in your wallet and on Coinbase. Genie holds only the encrypted connections it needs to act on them.
Can my assistant spend whatever it wants?
No. Every request has to pass your limits: per payment, per day, per month, approved payees, and the points where Genie must come back and ask you.
What does my assistant actually see?
Only the results of the tools it uses: balances, confirmations and the information you asked for. Provider sign-in secrets never leave Genie.
Does Genie do crypto?
Yes. Connect Coinbase to pay and get paid in crypto and stablecoins, and Genie settles x402 payments for APIs, data and compute so your agents can pay for what they use.
How private is Genie?
Credentials are encrypted at rest. What an assistant learns is limited to what it asks for and what you allowed, and every decision is in your activity history.
Do I need another AI assistant to use Genie?
No. Chat with Genie in the web app, or bring it into Claude, ChatGPT, Grok Bot, Instinct or any MCP-capable agent you build. The Aladdin challenge is a separate public demonstration.
How do I stop it?
Revoke an agent or a provider connection from your account at any time, or tighten the rules. Genie stops the moment you do.
